Elegant estate home is almost complete at Foxwood Crossing in Poolesville, MD.

Your life isn’t ordinary. You’ve designed it that way. And, as one of the most sought-after home builders in Montgomery County, MD, Kettler Forlines Homes builds homes that match your lifestyle. Come get a glimpse of what we mean. Our newest elegant estate home is almost complete at Foxwood Crossing in Poolesville, MD. The stately residence at 17221 Tom Fox Avenue sits on a spacious, 2.29-acre lot—a rare find in this appealing area of Montgomery County.

The vision of Foxwood Crossing

When we discovered 13 acres of land near the intersection of Hughes Road and Tom Fox Avenue, the Kettler Forlines Homes team recognized the potential for something out-of-the-ordinary. Between building and renovating exceptional homes throughout the region, we’ve seen what homeowners want now: the benefits of the latest design trends and technology, and the peace of mind of quality construction that comes with energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

We also know that families want a yard that suits the home. That requires a builder who doesn’t squeeze too many homes in a community. With this in mind, Kettler Forlines Homes decided that Foxwood Crossing’s 13 acres would include just five new homes for sale in Poolesville, with homesites from 2.12 to 3.2 acres. We wanted Foxwood Crossing to deliver a truly unique lifestyle, with beautiful homes that are framed with large yards that combine for a graceful presence.

Does elegance and privacy in a country setting sound like the life you envision?

6,650 square feet with 7 bedrooms, 7 baths, and much more

Our newest, elegant estate home is almost complete at Foxwood Crossing in Poolesville, MD. We built The Potomac I floor plan, a Kettler Forlines Homes exclusive design that presents three finished levels and 6,650 square feet of exquisitely detailed indoor living space. Natural light fills the spaces in this home, touching everything from open spaces to nooks, corners, and stairways. The genuine wide plank hardwood flooring on the first floor enhances the welcome warmth from the streaming sunlight.

Life on the first floor

This home welcomes you with a covered front porch, large enough to place your most inviting seats for the view of the scenic area around you. Step into the foyer and you’re greeted by a large rotunda that is the hub for the first floor. Like spokes on the wheel, the rotunda leads to the surrounding rooms. On one side, a generously sized flex room is separated from the foyer by French doors. With a closet and adjacent full bath, the area could be a guest suite, a very productive home office, or one of many uses.

Another spoke of the rotunda opens to a living room in the back corner of the first floor. The angular design is eye-catching. Maybe this is the ideal office, farther from the main activity.

The open floor plan encompasses the opposite side of this home. A formal dining room, great room, and chef’s kitchen. From your seat in front of the great room’s fireplace, you can dart into the kitchen to grab a snack, cup of coffee, or something more substantial.

If you’re in the kitchen doing the work, you’re surrounded by the smart choices made by someone who understands how life happens in a home’s center. Experience an abundance of wood cabinetry that puts drawers where they make sense, cabinets where you want upright storage, and pullouts for the in-between needs. Kettler Forlines Homes’ kitchen designer chose dual wall ovens, a Viking gas cooktop, and an oversized, 5-foot stainless steel refrigerator-freezer. You’ll appreciate extras, like a pot-filler faucet, granite countertops,  walk-in pantry, vented Zephyr chimney hood, and an oversized island with a sink and dishwasher. Every chore associated with kitchens becomes more pleasing when you’re working in a space that fully accommodates you.

Another inviting feature of the main level is the screened porch and loggia tucked in the back corner. This large outdoor living space shares a two-sided fireplace with the great room. With the warmth of a fire and the shelter of the covered loggia, you can relax here and take in the view of your expansive backyard in any season.

While the front entry is a welcome site, your family will likely use the entry from the 4-car garage—actually, two 2-car garages forming a corner. From either garage, step into a family entry and drop zone, designed with a closet, hall bench, and cubbies. When your family has a place to stash their coats, backpacks, sporting equipment, and other items that don’t need to drift into the interior of the home, life is so much easier!

Escape to the second floor

One of the most enticing luxuries of The Potomac I floor plan is the primary suite on the second floor. So much more than a bedroom with an ensuite bath, this design presents a getaway in every sense. The massive bedroom includes a fireplace, wet bar, room for a sitting area, and entry to the private deck.

One look at the owner’s bath and you’ll envision what it’s like to have your own private spa. Soak in the freestanding tub or luxuriate in the oversized frameless shower with XX showerheads. This suite gives you two walk-in closets—one large and another larger one that will inspire you to create a dressing room.

In the world that exists outside your suite, the other members have their own bedroom area. Wrapped around the opening to the rotunda below, two bedrooms—each with its own full bath—while the third has a full bath and walk-in closet, just right for the budding adult in the family who wants extra living space.

We’ve designed a bonus room with its own access from the first floor. The room, full bath, walk-in closet, wet bar, and refrigerator expand the ways you can benefit from this extra space. Choose to use it as a junior suite, rec room, family room, studio space, workout center, or a private office.

Create more living on the lower level

Some people finish their basement. Kettler Forlines Homes re-creates it in The Potomac I. We use every square foot of the home’s footprint to bring living to the lower level.

For families who like to entertain, invite your guests to an area designed entirely for that purpose! Welcome a crowd to the rec room and serve them from the kitchenette and bar, complete with a wine closet. There’s even a home theater room—perfect for watching movies or sports or playing video games.

The lower level also has two bedrooms, adjacent to the full bath. If you don’t need an extra bedroom, a workout room would be a healthy choice.

The Kettler Forlines Homes design team thought carefully about the details that must be included to represent luxury without question. We think our new homes for sale in Poolesville  at Foxwood Crossing are the showcase for good living.
